Professionals: How to prevent spillages of Ficam, Permost and other dusts !

Do you ever spill Ficam, Permost and other dusts when trying to refill your handheld duster?

If yes, this is for you:

First, there is nothing wrong with you and indeed, it is NOT possible to transfer properly dust from a plastic bag (inside a tub) to a small handheld duster with a scoop, spoon, or any other device.

If you are working outdoors and there is a draft, you are also at risk of inhaling the spilled dust. It would be so much easier if our manufacturers were using easy-pour packaging as they do in the U.S. with the Drione Dust from Bayer (see picture).

Ironically, Drione and Ficam D are made by the same manufacturer!

We had a complicated solution, but we recently found a very easy one…

Update 2020: Here is the easy option!

We are now using some 5L oil jugs instead (on sale on Amazon and Ebay). They can be filled initially with up to 3 Kg of dust which can be delivered easily into the small duster using the long spout.

Make sure you take a model with a screw cap on both openings so the dust does not spill or get damp:

Pour your insecticide dust easily and without spillages
