The aim here is to refresh and improve your skills so you can carry out your professional duties safely, efficiently and humanely with the least amount of stress and pressure.
This will include training/re-training in the management of rodents, non-rodent mammals, birds, invertebrates, health and safety, accident prevention, legislation and customer care which is endorsed by the NPTA (National Pest Technicians Association)
You will easily be able to prepare for sitting the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) Level 2 diploma in Pest Control
Here is how we will achieve this training and prepare for examinations:
- The RSPH has kindly agreed to run examinations with the Irish legislation (instead of UK legislation) for Irish candidates
- The RSPH examiners will also facilitate Irish candidates by traveling to the Republic for the examination sittings in Ireland.
- The next ROI examination is scheduled for 4th March 2015 so it gives you plenty of time to get trained
You will be training for this examination/diploma by using the BPCA (British Pest Control Association) online training programe.
This programe has succeeded in training thousands of technicians for many years. It covers all aspects of Pest Control including control techniques, pesticides, rodents, insects, mammals, birds, etc. In total there are over 11,000 pages of technical training content with thousands of exercises and tests.
Your online training will give you unlimited access to the site for a full year, so you can learn at your own pace. The only part of the course that is not relevant is the UK legislation, but it is easy to learn the Irish legislation covering pest control activities from written notes on paper.
You can check the links above for more information or when you want to begin your training.
- The RSPH is an independent, multi-disciplinary charity organisation, dedicated to the improvement of the public’s health and well being.
