What are Mouse Poison Boxes?
Cardboard mouse bait boxes are used as a temporary device for holding mouse poison bait when treating an infestation. These boxes are designed specifically for holding wheat/cereal bait in sachets, Wax Blocks and Pasta Bait.
Our cardboard mouse bait boxes have an outer layer of wax that allows temporary usage in areas prone to dampness, e.g. boiler rooms, kitchens, and cellars. They are commonly used in commercial environments when treating active infestations.
Every box has two entrance holes at each end of the box, and a have a larger opening door at the top to facilitate the placement of bait.
NOT TAMPER-RESISTANT – Remember that with new EU regulations, all amateur rodenticide bait must be used in tamper-resistant bait stations. Cardboard mouse poison boxes do not meet this criterion and are only suitable for professional baits or non-toxic monitoring baits.
Check our heavy-duty plastic bait box alternatives for long-term use.
Usage
- Use for holding mouse poison rodenticide indoors against mice (bait must be purchased separately)
- Place along walls and skirting boards or where mouse activity is evident.
- Place bait points 5m apart, reducing to 2m in cases of high infestation.
- Ideal for use under or behind cupboards, in voids and attics.
Please Note: These are just cardboard-made and are not temperproof. For more durable or sensitive environments (e.g., pets, and young children), it is better to use Plastic Bait Stations with a locking key.
Too difficult to fill with grains and very fragile
Thank you for sharing your experience. Yes, these are just cardboard made so not really temper proof. For more durable or sensitive environments (e.g. pets, young children), it is better to use Plastic Bait Stations with a locking key. Also these cardboard bait boxes are only for Wax Blocks, not grain (that could spill out). Hope this helps!
